Stronger, More connected streets

This site now gathers a few things that continue to feel useful to people working on streets, main streets and everyday mobility.

  • Regenerative Streets podcast, exploring how everyday streets can support more walkable, connected and climate aligned communities.

  • Blog posts and essays on main streets, local business vitality and the lived experience of moving through cities.

Whether you are a trader, practitioner, resident, official or advocate, I have written and spoken to people like you who know streets have more to offer and are interested in ways we can all take steps to realise their full potential.

Values‑led and regenerative by design

Dr Laura Aston, Founder and Independent Consultant, Wayfinder Labs

I am a regenerative streets and urban mobility specialist working at the intersection of transport, land use and local economies. I use analysis, research and lived experience insights to help cities and organisations design streets and mobility systems that are safer, more walkable and more life giving.

My work is grounded in regenerative streets thinking: streets and local economies are seen as living systems, where business, community and environment need to thrive together.

I am not actively promoting services, but I welcome contact from people who are working on or curious about their own streets.

You can use the form if you would like to:

  • Share a story or project from your street

  • Ask where to find resources or communities to support your advocacy

  • Explore using or adapting any of the podcasts, blogs or tools in your own work
